From Chapter 1:
In the fall of 2018, I prayed a dangerous prayer.

“Lord, let me not be the same person a year from now. Make me into new wine.”

We had just put the second Her Voice Conference on the schedule for 14 months later and I knew that I didn’t want to give these women old wine. I wanted God to give them something fresh, something new. As the leader of the organization, this meant that I would have to be new.

I remember thinking, “God has 14 whole months to make me new! This seems like ample time.” What I hadn’t even considered was the process by which new wine is made.
